Jackson Purdue Lever are pleased to be part of the CA Blackwell team in winning the prestigious £18M enabling works and infrastructure project to redevelop part of the Alliance Boots headquarters site in Beeston, Nottingham.

The £500M Boots Enterprise Zone development will provide a major UK centre for health and beauty innovation – comprising of 82,000 square metres of commercial space for health and wellness businesses and providing space for 675 new homes across the 279 acre site in the heart of Nottingham.

Design and Build Contract

Jackson Purdue Lever assisted CA Blackwells to win a Design and Build contract to build a 1.5km link road through the former Boots land and associated civils works to prepare and remediate land for future development platforms.

The new infrastructure to be designed by Jackson Purdue Lever includes a new access roundabout at the Humber Road South, Beeston entrance and a new road bridge over the Beeston Canal to connect the new link road to Thane Road and onwards to the A52 at the Queens Drive roundabout.

Detailed designs will include the horizontal and vertical road alignments, associated storm and foul water spine drainage including regional storm water balancing ponds and a foul water pumping station.

Considerable attention is to be given to the need to be sympathetic to the heritage and continued use of the Boots headquarters site as well as mitigating the effect of the development on the Beeston Canal and the Canal Side flora and forna.
