Last Friday (21st November 2025), we are delighted that a team from Jackson Purdue Lever took part in Franklin Ellis Architects’ BBC Children in Need, Park Step Challenge, helping to raise over £4,000!
Over 200 people joined the challenge on the freezing cold morning, representing 25 companies from across the construction industry, including our own. Despite the tough conditions, everyone came together with great enthusiasm and determination to take part. The combined total of the challenge reached 3,648 climbs, equivalent to over 8 Everest ascents and 72,960m!
Our team successfully completed over 100 loops of the staircase, meaning we climbed the equivalent height of Snowdon, Ben Nevis, Pico Ruivo, to name a few. By Sunday, the sore legs had definitely set in, but it was all worth it, what a fantastic event and we loved being a part of it!

BBC Children in Need is a UK charity that raises money each year to support disadvantaged children and young people. Through fundraising events, donations, and its annual televised appeal, it helps hundreds of local charities and community projects that provide vital services such as mental-health support, emergency assistance, mentoring, disability support, and safe spaces for children facing poverty or trauma. The funds go directly to organisations working on the ground, ensuring that children get the care, opportunities, and encouragement they need to overcome challenges and build brighter futures.
Again, a massive thank you to Franklin Ellis Architects for organising such a great charity event… you can sign us up next year!
