Loughborough University’s Brand New Innovation Centre is Complete!

Design and construction are complete on the brand new purpose built Innovation Centre on the Loughborough University’s Science and Enterprise Park.

The building provides a mix of office and studio units available on flexible letting terms within a high quality environment with shared facilities.

Two distinct blocks of accommodation are linked by a defined central hub comprising three storeys.

The centre is specifically targeted at the needs of businesses in the area and is part of               Loughborough University’s ongoing programme to boost economic development in the region, with the intention of helping to promote new business opportunities and create jobs.

About the job!

Working with the design team and the client Jackson Purdue Lever coordinated the steel structure so that Public and breakout amenity spaces, considered key components in the spatial planning to promote business relationships on a daily basis were a successful part of the building’s function. This enabled the provision of common facilities within managed areas where occupants and visitors can used shared resources, to reduce costs and develop relationships.

Along with the Design including GF Tomlinson & Franklin Ellis Architects the project was a pleasure to work on.

We look forward to future work with the University!
