Airbus A318 Lands at ASI Newark

ASI Newwark take deliver of Airbus A318. The temporary works services relating to the plane installation did not come without its challenges as we had to ensure we avoided siting any temporary jacks next to the movement joints in the permanent slab. To date we have undertaken the following temporary works services

Last week an Airbus A318 embarked on a very exciting 110-mile journey from Air Salvage International, based in the Cotswolds, to its new home at the Air & Space Institute (ASI) HQ in Newark, Nottinghamshire.

The Airbus A318 will serve as the cornerstone of ASI’s world-class training facility, affording students and apprentices an unparalleled environment for engineering, flight training, ground crew operations, and cabin crew training. With the practical benefits of the Airbus A318’s presence at ASI, bridging the gap between theory and real-world application for students.

When fully operational, ASI will host over 200 students per year and create around 40 new jobs in the area. This opens doors to students and future generations for well-paid careers in aviation.

“In a world where the sky is not the limit but only the beginning, ASI represents a place where dreams take flight.”
