We are excited to share, along side Tanro and the rest of the design team, the successful completion of the Meditrade hub in Gainsborough. Spanning 111,000 square feet of industrial space, complemented by an additional 5,500 square feet of office space, the facility was delivered to the client just in time for the holiday season.

Strategically situated in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, in the East Midlands, the new hub boasts excellent accessibility thanks to its outstanding transport links. 

The first hall covers an impressive 115,000 square feet (10,750 square meters) and is equipped to house over 15,000 pallets in multi-story racks. This expansion significantly enhances Meditrade UK’s storage capacity, enabling improved inventory management and streamlined delivery operations.

Designing with Sustainablility and Energy-Efficiency in mind 

Aligned with the client’s commitment to sustainability, the design team focused on integrating eco-friendly features and Net Zero technologies into the new unit. These efforts aimed to optimise energy usage and minimise the facility’s environmental impact. Key features include passive design elements, energy-efficient LED lighting, and advanced sensor systems. The hub also incorporates strategically placed windows, passive ventilation, and photovoltaic systems, further boosting its energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.
