Derby College recieve £3.5m for new automotive training facility

Derby College is to receive £3.5 million from the Government to create brand new facilities to train more learners in automotive technology.

The money has been awarded by the Post 16 Capacity Fund, which allows colleges to create additional capacity for learners.

We are thrilled to be joining the design team alongside Armsons BarlowYMD Boon and HBa Consulting Engineers Ltd and to be part of this fantastic innovative venture.

Offering a variety of our Engineering Services to the project!

Providing Derby college with a number of our engineering services from Civil and Structural Engineering to Flood Risk Assessments.

The scheme will involve creating a new state-of-the-art facility to the rear of the current Stephenson Building on Derby college’s Roundhouse site.

The design team will work closely with the college to ensure the building is built in the most efficient and sustainable way in order to achieve net-zero carbon emissions.

The project is due to be completed in September 2024, in time for the new academic year.
