This month we celebrated our first anniversary of our monthly socials!

With Covid-19 forcing us to all stay home and not socialise we realised the importance of getting our teams socialising and team building again.

The monthly socials are very much lead by request – from Axe Throwing to Clay Pigeon Shooting we all agree they are great for trying new activities that we probably wouldn’t try in our normal social circles.

Here is a round up of the last 12 socials…

Kicking things back off with a trip to our favourite burger place – Annie’s Burger Shack!

Followed by Five Guys and for a game of crazy golf. (Can you tell we all love burgers!)

In April we realised we enjoy a bit of healthy competition so we ventured to Hollywood Bowl in the Derbion for a bit of bowling and arcades. The Structures team took home the title of team winners!

May some of the team went to an Escape room. The aim was to escape Utopia in 60minutes – We escaped!

Hatchet Harry’s in Derby then opened and we all wanted to try Axe throwing. I am sure we will return here for a rematch or two!

Then came our Main Summer Social –

The unanimous decision was to try our hand at clay pigeon shooting! – some of us had never done this before and it was a great experience. Another activity we will be returning too.

We heard a lot of great reviews for The Forge on Sadler Gate in Derby. This made us excited to try their meats cooked on hot stones. The portions did defeat some of us … but a couple still managed dessert.

Seven on Pride Park is only a short walk from our office so we ventured there in October. The idea behind this meal was to welcome the new intake of Graduates.

November’s activity has quite the back story! With members of staff having fumed for years that they had been robbed the previous trophy! – Finally it was time to take on Go Karting again. The hotly anticipated 1^st place was fiercely fought for with Mark Wren being crowned champion!

And just like that the year had flown by and it was Christmas. December was a double social month. Starting off dinner and drinks at Cosy Club. It is always lovely to meet up with everyone! We then finished off the year with a Secret Santa lunch.

2023 started off with a bit of a bang!

2023 started off with Laser Tag followed by Zorba the Greek for a meal in February!!!

March is seeing us take a trip back to Hollywood Bowl for a rematch! We looking forward to this years plans! -For anyone who has any recommendations of what we can do please contact us.
