We were delighted to contribute as Structural & Civil Engineers on this exciting project, working collaboratively with the wider design and construction team to help deliver a distinctive, sustainable and inspiring learning environment.
From the outset, the project presented a range of challenges, requiring a carefully considered approach to both the structural and civil engineering design. Working closely with the project team, we helped develop solutions that responded to the architectural vision while addressing the practical requirements of the site and the building’s low-energy ambitions.
The result is a striking new facility that provides an enhanced environment for Post-16 students, supporting modern teaching and learning while placing a strong emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability.
For us, projects like this demonstrate the value of bringing together different disciplines and expertise from the early stages of design through to completion. Close collaboration between the client, architects, engineers, contractors and wider project team was key to successfully navigating the challenges and delivering the finished building.
The completed facility is a fantastic addition to the school and represents a significant investment in the future of its students. It’s particularly rewarding to see the project now in use and to see how the design and engineering solutions have come together to create a high-quality, welcoming and functional space.
