Major Investment in Future-Focused Education
We are thrill the update on the signficiant progress at Brooksby Melton College on their new Buckingham and Agri-Tech building developments. This marks another important step in the college’s investment in future focused education and industry leading facilities. We are please to be acting as civil and structural engineers for the project.
Construction work on the new Agri-Tech Centre at the Brooksby campus is advancing rapidly ahead of its planned Autumn 2026 opening. The £18 million Department for Education backed project is designed to support the future of land based education across Leicestershire and the wider East Midlands.
State of the Art Agri-Tech Facilities
The new development will provide specialist laboratories, modern teaching spaces, livestock accommodation, cattle-handling systems, machinery teaching areas and precision farming technology.
Facilities will incorporate advanced agricultural innovations including drones, robotics, GIS mapping software and virtual learning environments.
A new student services and dining area also forms part of the wider campus improvements, enhancing the overall student experience and creating a modern learning environment for future generations.
Construction Progress Continues
Recent milestones on site include:
- substantial roofing and framing works,
- brickwork installation,
- glazing,
- pipework,
- wider external infrastructure improvements.
The development continues to progress steadily as the project moves towards completion.
The Buckingham building development is also playing a key role in modernising the campus estate. The building will be supporting the college’s commitment to delivering industry-standard facilities for agriculture, environmental management, engineering, and land-based studies.
